The road, between South Osprey Avenue and Maravic Place, was closed this week from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to install the concrete poles.

FPL announced last year that it would be replacing outdated infrastructure and installing additional power support to accommodate its growing customer base. The company said it is expected to add 335,000 customers by the end of the decade.

The improvements raised customer bills by $2.50 per month.
